Pâté Sucree, with photos.


Pâté Sucree ,which is a classic French pastry (it literally means sweet pastry) can be easily made in the Thermomix. It is ideal for sweet tarts such as Salted Caramel Tart, with or with out pecans !


150 g plain flour

60g cold butter, cut into cubes

2 egg yolks

40g to 50g of caster sugar, depending on taste.

3 teaspoons of chilled water, approximately.

place flour in TM bowl and mix 3 seconds on speed 6 to loosen.

Add sugar, butter and egg yolks and mix 5 sec, speed 6 until mixture is combined and resembles breadcrumbs. See photo.
